After almost a week off, River Light FC (4-1-3) is back in action against the leader of the Heartland Division, Des Moines Menace later today at 7 p.m. After taking a narrow 1-0 victory against Des Moines Menace last time at Spartan Athletic Park, the Lights will look to conjure more magic as they travel to Valley Stadium.
Still undefeated, Des Moines (6-1-1) have won their last four matches with their only defeat coming from their game against the Lights earlier in the season. Des Moines holds the best defensive record in the Heartland Division, only allowing six goals this season. They also hold the second best offense, scoring 24 goals in eight matches.
Des Moines most recently defeated Sueno FC 5-0, with forward Felipe D’Agostini scoring a hat-trick in the process. River Light is coming into this match-up with a 3-1 victory against Chicago City SC, with Logan Finnegan scoring twice in the first half.
You can catch all the action and enjoy some refreshments by joining us at Sturdy Shelter Brewing for another River Light away day at 7 p.m.!
